FUN RUN – Saturday, April 2, 7:30 AM start

On Saturday, April 2, the celebration kicks off with a fun run/walk across the bridge presented by the Virginia Mason Heart Institute. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to run across the world’s longest floating bridge before it opens to traffic.

The Floating Bridge Experience – Saturday, April 2, 10 AM–5 PM

There will be a variety of interactive, informative, and fun activities for people of all ages. On the bridge you will find exhibits from the Pacific Science Center, expert LEGO builders, and an assortment of STEM-related activities highlighting the science, technology, engineering, and math that went into building the world’s longest floating bridge. Not to mention a food truck caravan – no need to pack a lunch! Purchase delectable delights at food trucks from around the region.

Emerald City Bike Ride – Sunday, April 3, 7–11 AM

Cascade Bicycle Club presents the Emerald City Bike Ride, a ride with two options (20 miles and a children-friendly 8 miles) that starts at the University of Washington and heads across and back on the new SR 520 floating bridge. The 20-mile option then continues along the express lanes of I-5 through downtown Seattle. Both routes are car-free.
