Kate Hunter, PT, MPT

Kate Hunter is a licensed Physical Therapist who specializes in care of orthopedic injuries. She helps people who have undergone surgery to get the best results possible, and guides non-surgical patients through recovery and return to activity. She enjoys seeing a wide variety of people, from young athletes to weekend warriors, and brings over 20 years of experience to her practice.

Kate is a Washington native who completed her education in Physical Therapy at the University of Washington, after attaining a BS in Biology at Western Washington University. She feels strongly that the key to providing good care is collaboration between patients and providers, and strives to adapt treatment plans to achieve patient’s goals while honoring their preferences and working within the parameters of their busy lives.

When she is not in the clinic Kate is enjoying the business of family life; she can be found at the coffee shop, enjoying her children’s sports and music, in the mountains for hiking and snowboarding, savoring culinary adventures, riding bikes with her husband, at the nursery indulging her plant addiction, or at the dog park.

“Love this place and these ladies! I was a patient of Kelcy and Shana’s back when they worked in Ballard, and they helped me tremendously with my low back issues.

Since then I’ve screwed up my knee (and it turns out my hip) and they are putting me back on the road to recovery. I will be running again soon! Pros: Parking lot, friendly sta, hour appointments.Cons: I have to drive here or ride my bike from Ballard.”
