Shana has over 10 years of experience as a practicing physical therapist.  Her clinical interest lies in orthopedics where she enjoys treating a variety of patients, with a special interest in sports medicine. She specifically enjoys shoulder, hip, and spinal rehabilitation, and believes the key to proper healing includes hands-on manual therapy, specific movement training, and evidence based medicine.

Shana believes that education and prevention are the pillars of recovery and healthy living.  She helps her patients focus on staying active, understanding their bodies, and being active participants in the healing process.

Outside of the clinic, Shana spends time enhancing her knowledge base.  She has taken several continuing  education courses in manual therapy through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy, and is certified through Level II.  In 2017, she began coursework with LJ Lee and the ConnectTherapy program and looks forward to integrating it with her current practice.

Shana graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Samuel Merritt University in California. Before that, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.

When she is not working, you’ll likely find Shana on a mountain top or nearby trail with her two Whippets, soaking up the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.  She also loves traveling to new places and has a keen interest in culinary delights.

“Love this place and these ladies! I was a patient of Kelcy and Shana’s back when they worked in Ballard, and they helped me tremendously with my low back issues. Since then I’ve screwed up my knee (and it turns out my hip) and they are putting me back on the road to recovery. I will be running again soon!”
