Ladies, get ready for a fun race filled with some of your favorite things: running, hanging with your girlfriends, and sipping Cosmos! It’s not 5 miles…and it’s not a 5K… it’s lucky number 7! So, slip on those sneakers and head on out to the Cosmo 7K this Saturday.
This all ladies race series is new to the Seattle area this year. The race will start and finish at the beautiful Juanita Beach park, with a perfect 7K run/walk course. After your run, stay and enjoy tasty cosmos, friends, food, music and shopping – what more coulda girl want? Every registrant will receive a “Cosmo7K” Martini glass to sample tasty Cosmos at the after party!
Proceeds of the 7K will benefit The Pink Lemonade Project. The Pink Lemonade Project educates, empowers, and supports those affected by breast cancer. Their programs are designed to meet you where you are on your unique journey to step beyond cancer. Founded in 2010, the project was designed to provide critical support to breast cancer survivors who struggled with the many emotional and psychological aspects of breast cancer diagnosis and recovery. Initially providing a retreat for 14 brave women, the Pink Lemonade Project expanded in 2011 with the offering of single and couple retreats. Today, they continue to host a range of healing retreats as well as breast restoration advocacy, and the Pink Link program – a developing peer to peer support program.
