Dance Marathon is a nationwide youth-led philanthropy that benefits Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Seattle University’s Dance Marathon (SUDM) is a student-led organization that specifically benefits Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Uncompensated Care Fund. Through the Uncompensated Care Fund, SUDM provides free lifesaving health care to patients at Seattle Children’s who otherwise would not be able to afford care. They believe than no family with a sick child should ever have to worry about anything but their child’s wellness, regardless of their ability to afford medical care.

On November 8, SUDM is holding their first annual Color Me a Miracle 5k. This run/walk is a chance for participants to gather as a community, have fun, and meet some Miracle Children. Just like the popular Color Run, Miracle Children will be posted throughout the route showering the participants with color powder. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to sign up! There will also be a 1K dash for children ages 13 and under during the event.

After the 5k portion is over, all participants and volunteers are invited to join the celebration for music, crafts, and much more! For more information check out www.seattleudancemarathon.org or their Facebook page under ‘Seattle University Dance Marathon’.
