Dr. Shawnee Perkins, PT, DPT, OCS

Shawnee believes in establishing a strong patient-therapist relationship and working collaboratively to create individualized treatment plans.  Her treatment approach focuses on neuromuscular training and proper body mechanics to foster long term health. She believes that education and patient-specific training are key to preventing injuries and promoting optimal function.

In 2021, Shawnee became an AIB Certified Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion Specialist allowing her to evaluate and treat these conditions with expertise.  She is also a graduate of the ConnectTherapy Series which she incorporates in her practice, using a whole patient/whole body approach to help uncover the patient’s driver behind their dysfunction.  Shawnee earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017, and prior to that studied Exercise Science at the University of Montana.

Shawnee was raised in Alaska and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Jack, and her dogs, Honey and Belle. She promotes and maintains a healthy lifestyle, loves baking, and pushes her physical boundaries with various training endeavors.

“I received excellent care at Mobilize PT.  Shawnee did an excellent job helping me overcome an injury.  She was very knowledgeable.  She was spot on with identifying problem areas and finding ways to improve strength and function.  She was incredibly caring, patient, and supportive all around!  She took the time to personalize a successful exercise program for me.  I couldn’t have asked for a better therapist!”
