Emily Burghardt, PT, DPT, OCS
Emily believes as a clinician that one can never stop learning. She began continuing education classes focused on manual techniques for outpatient orthopedics. She is certified with Graston Technique® and has taken courses with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy and the Institute of Physical Art.
Her treatment style is focused on each person individually. Through education and open discussions she creates a treatment plan that is patient centered. She works to correct movement patterns through manual techniques and specific strengthening to allow for optimal function with all daily activities and sport-specific activities.
Emily was born and raised in Western New York and then traveled to the University of Vermont where she received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Movement Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
While in Vermont she fell in love with skiing, hiking, and rock climbing. This love of the outdoors drove her all the way to the Pacific Northwest where she began her career as a Physical Therapist in the Greater Seattle area in 2017.
When she is not practicing Physical Therapy you can find her on top of a mountain – rain, snow or sunshine.
“I’ve had a handful of sessions with Emily and one with Kelcy. Throughout these sessions my knee injury was identified and fixed; I received a series of effective and perfectly targeted exercise for my shoulder and hamstring; and I’m well on my way to holistic wellness.”
