Emily Burghardt, PT, DPT, OCS

Emily’s treatment style is focused on each person individually. Through education and open discussions she creates a treatment plan that is patient centered.  She works to correct movement patterns through manual techniques and specific strengthening exercises to allow for optimal function with all daily tasks and sport-specific activities.

Emily is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist and has focused her continuing education on a variety of manual techniques and holistic treatment styles. She is certified with Graston Technique®  and has taken courses with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy and the Institute of Physical Art.

Emily grew up in Buffalo, New York playing soccer and lacrosse. She went to the University of Vermont for her Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Movement Science and continued on to get her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.   While in Vermont she fell in love with skiing, hiking, and rock climbing.  Since moving to Seattle she has been able to explore all of the natural beauty in the PNW.

“I’ve had a handful of sessions with Emily and one with Kelcy. Throughout these sessions my knee injury was identified and fixed; I received a series of effective and perfectly targeted exercise for my shoulder and hamstring; and I’m well on my way to holistic wellness.”
